Meditation Retreat (Sesshin) 14-16 February
This sesshin is open to all, beginners and advanced alike. This is an opportunity to dive into the heart of Sôtô zen, experiencing a practice passed down through the centuries permeating all aspects of daily life.
We will do 4 sessions of zazen - sitting meditation - per day. There will also be the samu (group work), silent meals and ceremonies.
Master Wang-Genh, the monastery's abbot, will give talks on the specifics of Zen meditation and Zen Buddhism. There will be opportunities to ask him questions in individual talks - dokusan - or in assembly - mondo.
The sesshin will take place from 14 to 16 February. Arrival on Thursday 13 at 5pm. Explanations about the practice at around 7pm. Departure on Sunday after lunch and check-out (around 3 pm).
