OPEN HOUSE AFTERNOON - September 29

OPEN AFTERNOON AT RYUMONJI TEMPLE - 2:30 TO 6:30 P.M.

Ryumonji Zen Buddhist Temple will be holding an open afternoon on Sunday September 29, from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to stroll through the monastery gardens and discover this tradition through guided tours, an exhibition of ritual objects, a ceremony officiated by nuns and monks, a demonstration of traditional garment sewing, an introduction to meditation and a lecture given by Zen master and abbot of the temple, Olivier Reigen Wang-Genh.

AFTERNOON PROGRAM

2:30pm - Opening

3:00, 4:30 & 5:30 pm - 30-minute guided tours (RDV in front of the Dragon Gate)

3:30 pm - Lecture by Maitre Olivier Reigen Wang-Genh “The role of a Zen temple in the modern world”.

4:30 pm - Introduction to Zen meditation (German translation) - Duration 1 hour - RDV in front of the new dojo

From 2:30pm - Kesa sewing demonstration

5:45pm - Buddhist ceremony for people in great physical and psychological difficulty

6:30pm - Closing
